History

In The Beginning

Turning Minds Media, Inc. was founded in 2003 as a result of the growth of a web design and web hosting company started in 1999.

Turning Minds Media has covered all aspects of web development and web design with both big and small projects for a variety of businesses. We have launched over 150 websites ranging from CMS websites to ecommerce websites along with custom developed inventory management and customer management systems.

So much has changed in the 10+ years we’ve been doing this and we’ve changed too.

In the early days of the company there was no YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter for community and social media. As a result we focused on SEO / SEM efforts along with traditional marketing efforts to drive site traffic for our clients.  Additionally, the days of 100% custom development with our own custom CMS software and custom eCommerce software have come and gone.  Now, we do a lot less custom work and focus on taking advantage of the outstanding capabilities of systems like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, and others which result in saving you on the custom development and providing a richer set of features and capabilities for your money.

To most people’s surprise, at our core, we are and have always been a marketing company not a web design company.

In 1999 when the founder began building websites he approached every client with a focus on the business objectives and the marketing objectives and based on those needs, looked at how their website could serve those objectives.  It has always been about building businesses, not websites.

To this day, that is still the case.  Everything we do is with a focus on your company objectives. From there we make decisions on both online and offline efforts to leverage all points of contact with your customers. With this approach, your website does far more for your business then you might have imagined possible.

We are passionate about all things web including building your website and your business.
